SPRING CONCERT IN VERONA
Saturday 12 March at 9pm in the Sala Maffeiana of the Teatro Filarmonico
The approach of spring is celebrated by the traditional Masi Foundation concert. Dedicated to music by the violinist-cum-composer and writer Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770) the “Maestro delle Nazioni” concert will be held on Saturday 12 March at 9pm in the Sala Maffeiana of the Teatro Filarmonico.

Playing extracts and sonatas by Istrian-born composer Giuseppe Tartini will be ‘L’Arte dell’Arco’, the Paduan ensemble that has made a name for itself internationally with period instrument playing and collaboration with Europe’s most important orchestras specialising in the baroque.

Winners of many prizes, including the international Antonio Vivaldi CD Prize, the ‘L’Arte dell’Arco’ ensemble is the winner of the Masi Foundation Civiltà Veneta CD Prize section of the “Salieri-Zinetti” International Chamber Music Competition 2015. The Masi Foundation awards the prize in recognition of the talent of musicians who either play music from the Veneto or get their inspiration from the Veneto.

Entrance free-of-charge while space remains. A tasting of Masi wines concludes the evening.
